  • 3 dl vegetable stock
  • n. B. savory
  • 100 g bacon, to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 day 1 hour 50 minutes

Soak the dried beans in water overnight, or for at least 4-6 hours. Drain the water afterward. Chop the onions and fry them in butter. Add the stock and crushed garlic. Add the beans, savory, and bacon. Simmer for 1-1.5 hours. Stir frequently. Add a little more water if necessary. If you have a pressure cooker, you can significantly reduce the cooking time. Boiled potatoes are a good side dish. These can be cooked a little later. Sausages are also good. The dried beans go well with sausage and smoked meat. Vegetarians can omit the bacon.
