Dumpling skewers on garden salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of dumplings (mini potato dumplings, 400g)
  • 10 slices of bacon
  • 1 head of lettuce, of your choice
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • some salt
  • some pepper
  • some sugar
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard, medium hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the dumplings according to the package instructions and let cool slightly. Halve the bacon, wrap half a slice around each dumpling, and then thread it onto the wooden skewer. Distribute the bacon dumplings onto 8 skewers. Place all skewers on a baking tray lined with baking paper and grill until crispy on each side. In the meantime, trim and wash the lettuce and divide it between plates. Wash the tomatoes, cut them into eighths, and arrange them on the salad. Make a salad dressing from the remaining ingredients and pour it over the salad. Place two crispy dumpling skewers on each salad plate. Variation: Use sliced ​​fresh mushrooms instead of the tomatoes.
