Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir into a stiff dough. Add more flour if needed; the dough should not slide off the spoon, but should fall heavily from the spoon. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Scoop the sparrows with a tablespoon and drop them into the water. Let them simmer for about 15 minutes. They go well with any roast.
