Egg cake without a base

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 g quark
  • 7 eggs
  • 2 packs of pudding powder
  • 300 g sugar
  • 375 ml milk
  • 100 g butter
  • e.g. fruit, almonds or raisins

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

Bring the milk, 150g sugar, and butter to a boil. Then stir in 1 sachet of pudding powder. Allow the pudding to cool completely. Using a mixer, vigorously mix the quark, 2 eggs, 1 sachet of pudding powder, and 150g sugar and pour into a prepared 26cm springform pan as the base. Stir 5 egg yolks into the cooled pudding. Beat the 5 egg whites until stiff, then fold into the pudding. Pour the mixture onto the base. Garnish the quark mixture with fruit, almonds, or raisins, if desired. Bake for approximately 60-75 minutes at a medium heat (170°C).
