Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 bread roll (toastie), wholemeal or regular
  • 2 slices of bacon
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 slice(s) cheese, e.g. aged Gouda
  • Mustard, sweet
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Toast roll with egg and bacon

Cut the bacon in half, spread a thin layer of sweet mustard on each slice, and fry until crispy. Fry the egg on two half slices of bacon (in a ring shape for a nice round one) and season with pepper. Once the egg is almost set, break up the yolk, place the other two bacon halves on top, and flip. Place the slice of cheese on the flipped side and wait until it’s slightly melted. Meanwhile, finish cooking the toasties in the toaster. Finally, just assemble everything.
