Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 kg elderberries, ripe
- 1 liter of water
- 400 g sugar
- 1 vanilla pod(s)
- 375 ml schnapps (Primasprit, 69.9%)

Simmer 1 kg of ripe elderberries with 1 liter of water for one hour. Strain the juice through a sieve and add 400 g of sugar and a vanilla pod. Simmer everything together for another half hour and then let cool. Remove the vanilla pod. Mix everything with the Primasprit. Now bottle everything. It’s ready to taste. The longer it sits, the better it gets (theoretically—unfortunately, it never lasts very long here).
