Elderflower Syrup Cup Cakes

The perfect elderflower syrup cup cakes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

dough

  • 200 g Flour
  • 50 g Food starch
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 2 Eggs
  • 100 g Cane sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 150 g Liquid butter
  • 3 tablespoon Elderflower syrup
  • 200 g Sour cream

Topping

  • 100 g Soft butter
  • 2 tablespoon Powdered sugar
  • 100 g Cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoon Elderflower syrup

  1. Mix the flour with the cornstarch and baking powder in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, stir the sugar, salt, melted butter and elderflower syrup until frothy and stir in the sour cream.
  3. Now sieve the flour mixture over it and stir everything into a smooth dough.
  4. Pour the mixture into silicone molds or muffin molds lined with paper molds and put it into the 180 c. hot oven for 25 minutes – make a chopstick test.
  5. Take out the muffins; Let cool down and make the topping in the meantime.

Topping

  1. Mix the soft butter with the powdered sugar until foamy, stir in the powdered sugar and elderflower syrup – if you like, you can add some food coloring.
  2. Put the mixture in a piping bag and decorate the cupcakes with it
