Elderflower Syrup Cup Cakes

Ingredients
 

dough

  • 200 g Flour
  • 50 g Food starch
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 2 Eggs
  • 100 g Cane sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 150 g Liquid butter
  • 3 tbsp Elderflower syrup
  • 200 g Sour cream

Topping

  • 100 g Butter
  • 2 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • 100 g Cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp Elderflower syrup

Instructions

  • Mix the flour with the cornstarch and baking powder in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, stir the sugar, salt, melted butter and elderflower syrup until frothy and stir in the sour cream.
  • Now sieve the flour mixture over it and stir everything into a smooth dough.
  • Pour the mixture into silicone molds or muffin molds lined with paper molds and put it into the 180 c. hot oven for 25 minutes - make a chopstick test.
  • Take out the muffins; Let cool down and make the topping in the meantime.

Topping

  • Mix the soft butter with the powdered sugar until foamy, stir in the powdered sugar and elderflower syrup - if you like, you can add some food coloring.
  • Put the mixture in a piping bag and decorate the cupcakes with it
