Emmental cheese fritters

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g minced meat, mixed
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 medium-sized onion(s), finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 stale roll
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 g cheese, grated, Emmental
  • 1 tsp mustard, hot
  • 40 g butter
  • 1 m.-large onion(s), red, cut into rings
  • 4 slice(s) cheese, Emmental

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Soak the bread rolls in water and squeeze out excess moisture. Knead the minced meat with salt, pepper, diced onion, parsley, eggs, and the bread roll thoroughly. Then knead the mustard and grated cheese into the mixture. Form 8 meatballs. Heat butter in a pan and fry the meatballs until well browned. Distribute the onion rings over the meat, then top each with 1/2 slice of cheese. Cover the pan and wait until the cheese melts.
