Emperor Rolls Made from Spelled Flour

Ingredients
 

  • 500 g Spelt flour type 630
  • 200 ml Milk warm
  • 120 ml Water warm
  • 21 g Yeast fresh
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 50 g Butter
  • 50 g Milk

Instructions
 

  • Put the flour in a bowl. Make a well in the middle and add warm milk and warm water. Crumble in the yeast and add sugar. Dust with flour and sprinkle salt around the edge. Let rise covered until bubbles form.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees!

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and divide the dough into approx. 12-15 parts and form balls. Distribute on the baking sheet with a gap. Then press the roll pusher for Kaiser rolls into each dough piece and let the rolls rise for about 30 minutes. See image!
  • Then bake the rolls with a bowl of water in the oven for about 10 minutes, then brush with milk and bake again for 5-10 minutes until golden brown!
