Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 4 rolls, diced
- e.g. milk
- 2 apples, sweet, peeled, pitted, diced
- ½ bunch parsley
- salt and pepper
- e.g. apple juice
- 3 eggs
- 2 tbsp flour
- possibly chicken liver(s)
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
a good addition to the simple roast chicken
Pour milk and apple juice alternately over the diced rolls until no more liquid is absorbed. Stir in salt, pepper, and finely chopped parsley. Now add the eggs and flour and knead well. Finally, add the diced apple and knead well once more. Now just fill the chicken and let it fry; the stuffing and chicken will be ready at the same time. Caution: Often, less is more! Only fill the chicken with enough stuffing to easily close it. But don’t close it; the apple flavor can develop. Important: If you don’t mind offal, you can knead the chicken liver into the stuffing; it tastes simply delicious!
