Peanut butter
Take as many shelled and salted peanuts as you like; 200-400g is probably enough to start with. The nuts then need to be ground in a blender or other chopper at high speed until a creamy, sticky mass is formed. The cream will become very warm, almost hot, during the chopping process, which can take some time (if you want it without any pieces of nuts). This doesn’t affect the peanut butter at all; it will just be a bit more liquid and easier to remove from the chopper. The peanut butter can then be filled into jars and refrigerated. Due to the preservatives in the salted peanuts and the high salt and oil content of the nuts, the peanut butter will keep for quite a long time in the refrigerator. You can use peanut butter as a basic recipe and ingredient for many delicious sauces and marinades. For example, add a little milk, water and soy sauce and bring to a boil, and you have an Asian peanut sauce.
