Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 5 hours 30 minutes

For 1 cake in a baking frame (approx. 28×19 cm) or in a springform pan (26 cm diameter)

Place the flour, baking powder, and sugar in a bowl and mix. Now add the eggs, pour in the oil, and mix everything into a smooth batter. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and baking paper, place the baking frame on top, and press the aluminum foil and baking paper firmly around the edge. Pour the prepared batter into the baking frame and spread it evenly. Then bake at 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit), fan oven 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit), for about 20 minutes. Place the jelly powder and two tablespoons of sugar in a saucepan, pour in the water, mix everything together, and let it swell for 10 minutes. Then heat over medium heat until the initially cloudy liquid becomes clear. Then let it cool. Place the quark, lemon juice, and sugar in a bowl and mix with a whisk. In another bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form, then mix with the quark. Pour the now cooled liquid jelly into a bowl and stir in the quark and cream mixture in portions. Then pour everything onto the baked dough in the baking frame and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours. Mix the jelly again with sugar and water, let it swell, heat until clear, and then cool. Once it’s cooled, spread it evenly over the creamy top of the cake using a tablespoon. Decorate with chocolate soccer balls, refrigerate briefly again, and then remove the baking frame. Trace the field lines and goals with whipped cream and finally decorate the cake with Smarties or similar treats symbolizing players.
