  • 4 slices of cooked ham
  • 6 slices of processed cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Leberkäse

Cut the Leberkäse (meatloaf) lengthwise (like a roll). Top one half with a slice of cooked ham, then with 1 1/2 slices of melted cheese. Place the other half of the Leberkäse on top (sandwich style). Repeat this process for each slice of Leberkäse. Finally, coat in the beaten eggs, then in the breadcrumbs, and fry in a pan over low heat for about 5 minutes on each side. Tip: You can double the amount of ham if you like—simply place another slice of ham on top of the melted cheese. It also tastes delicious cold.
