Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 2 slice(s) Leberkäse, thick
- 2 eggs
- 4 slices of ham
- 1 bag of cheese (Emmental), grated
- some breadcrumbs
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Carefully cut a slit in the Leberkäse lengthwise to create a pocket. Add some grated Emmental cheese to the pocket and press it down firmly. Then dice the ham and add it as well. Press the Leberkäse slices down firmly to seal the pockets and prevent the cheese from leaking out during frying. Beat the egg on a small plate and place some breadcrumbs on another plate. First place the Leberkäse in the egg mixture and then roll it in the breadcrumbs. Fry for a few minutes in a heated, non-stick pan. If desired, add the remaining egg to the pan and fry it too. Arrange the Leberkäse on plates and garnish with Emmental cheese.
