Farmers' potato pancakes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 large potatoes
  • 5 tbsp flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 200 g bacon, diced
  • 200 g cheese, diced
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Coarsely grate the potatoes and roughly chop the onion. Combine the potatoes, flour, eggs, onion, bacon, and cheese in a bowl, season with salt and pepper, and mince the garlic. Stir everything thoroughly once more. Heat oil in a pan, add 2 to 4 heaped tablespoons of the mixture (depending on the desired size of the pancakes), flatten, and fry on each side for about 3 minutes over medium heat until golden brown. Potato pancakes are delicious with creamed spinach.
