Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 400 ml milk
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 100 g cream
  • 80 g chocolate
  • 100 ml milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Mix the cornstarch with 100 ml of milk. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Boil 300 ml of milk with the sugar, vanilla pod, and vanilla seeds over medium heat. Whisk in the mixed cornstarch. Cook for about 2 minutes, stirring continuously, until the mixture thickens. Remove the pudding from the heat. Remove the vanilla pod and let the pudding cool. Whip the cream until stiff and fold into the cooled pudding. Divide between four bowls and chill. For the sauce, roughly chop the chocolate and melt it in the milk over low heat. Serve warm or cold with the pudding.
