Fig jam with crème de cassis and vanilla

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 800 g fig(s), fresh, prepared, weighed
  • 200 ml crème de cassis
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 14 minutes

Trim the fig stems, slice the figs, and place them in a large saucepan. Blend. Combine with the lemon juice, crème de cassis, and gelling sugar. Bring to a boil while stirring. Simmer for 3 minutes, then remove the vanilla pod. Immediately pour into prepared jars and seal.
