Fig Jam
The perfect fig jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 kg Figs fresh
- 500 g Preserving sugar 2: 1
- 0,5 Lime
- 0,5 Orange
- 1 packet Citric acid
- Since our tree is very busy this year, enough is finally falling for a jam / jam.
- Clean the fully ripe figs. Ours do not have to be peeled, it is sufficient to remove the stem base.
- Squeeze half a lime and half an orange.
- Quarter the figs and place in a saucepan that is not too small with the preserving sugar. Add the lime and orange juice and bring to the boil while stirring.
- Cook according to the instructions for the sugar for 3 minutes.
- Put some of the mixture on a small plate and let it solidify briefly (gelling test).
- Now add the citric acid and stir in.
- Pour the jam into clean jars and close tightly.
