Ingredients

  • 1 kg Figs fresh
  • 500 g Preserving sugar 2: 1
  • 0,5 Lime
  • 0,5 Orange
  • 1 packet Citric acid

Instructions

  • Since our tree is very busy this year, enough is finally falling for a jam / jam.
  • Clean the fully ripe figs. Ours do not have to be peeled, it is sufficient to remove the stem base.
  • Squeeze half a lime and half an orange.
  • Quarter the figs and place in a saucepan that is not too small with the preserving sugar. Add the lime and orange juice and bring to the boil while stirring.
  • Cook according to the instructions for the sugar for 3 minutes.
  • Put some of the mixture on a small plate and let it solidify briefly (gelling test).
  • Now add the citric acid and stir in.
  • Pour the jam into clean jars and close tightly.
