Figs with orange – cinnamon – foam

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 oranges
  • 4 figs, fresh
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar or agave syrup
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 150 ml soy milk (soy drink) or oat or almond milk

Juice the oranges, remove the pips, and scoop out the flesh, then chop very finely. Carefully wash the figs, pat dry, and cut into eighths. Divide the eighths between four dessert bowls. Combine the milk, orange juice with pulp, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl and whisk until foamy. If you have one, you can use a milk frother; it’s faster. Spread the foam over the figs and chill the dessert until ready to serve. Alternatively, you can whisk the milk mixture while still hot and serve the figs immediately with the hot foam. Tip: It tastes even better with vegan cream!
