Figs with yogurt cream

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 fig(s), ripe
  • ½ tsp sugar (lavender sugar), alternatively brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp juice (plum)
  • 150 yogurt, Greek

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 10 hours 25 minutes

without alcohol, well prepared

Wash the fig, pat dry, cut off the stem, and make a deep cross-shaped cut. Place it in an ovenproof dish, press it open slightly, sprinkle sugar into the opening, and pour the plum juice over it. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes. Drain the juice and mix it with about 150g of yogurt. Pour the yogurt mixture around the fig and refrigerate. Alternatively, pour the yogurt mixture into a dessert bowl or glass, place the fig on top, and press it in slightly. Let it sit for several hours, preferably overnight. The yogurt mixture will thicken due to the fig’s nutrients.
