to prepare well

Wash the figs, pat dry, and generously trim off the ends. Cut a cross in the figs to hold them together at the bottom and place them tightly together in an ovenproof dish. Add 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of rum, cognac, juice, or red wine to each fig and bake at 200°C in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes. Drain the liquid and mix with about 300-350g of yogurt. Spread the mixture around the figs and refrigerate, preferably overnight. Alternatively, pour the yogurt mixture into 4 dessert glasses or bowls and place the figs on top. Individual portions are also suitable for a buffet.
