Filled Shortcrust Pastry Stars

The perfect filled shortcrust pastry stars recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients for about 70 stars:

  • 300 g Flour
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 200 g Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 100 g Raspberry jelly
  • 2 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp Chopped pistachios
  1. Knead the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, fat and egg with the hand mixer. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 30 minutes. Roll out a thin layer between two layers of cling film. Cut out stars (5 cm). Cut out smaller stars from half of the cookies; place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, bake at 180 – 200 ° C (convection 160 – 180 ° C) on the 2nd rail from the bottom for about 10 minutes.
  2. Mix the jelly with 2 tablespoons of water, heat it, and let it boil down a little. Finely grind the pistachios, sprinkle the starry edges with powdered sugar and pistachios. Coat large stars with jelly, put star borders on top.
