Filled Tomatoes

The perfect filled tomatoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 Pcs. Beefsteak tomatoes big
  • 1 disc Toast
  • Dried oregano
  • 400 g Mixed minced meat
  • 4 tsp Sweet paprika
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • Oil
  • 50 g Grated cheese
  • 2 tsp Sour cream
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Rosemary sprig
  1. Wash the beefsteak tomatoes, cut off a lid and hollow out the tomatoes. (Don’t throw away the tomato flesh, we’ll make a little tomato sauce out of this at the end.)
  2. Soak the toast in milk, shred it and add it to the minced meat. Also add the egg, oregano, paprika powder, salt and pepper and mix. Season the minced meat vigorously. Salt the inside of the tomatoes a little and fill with the minced meat. Halve the garlic cloves and place on the tomatoes.
  3. Mix the grated cheese with the sour cream and pour on the minced meat mixture, then put the tomato lid on, put in a greased dish and add a sprig of rosemary.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes (not fan-assisted).
