Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 20 g curry powder
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 100 ml tomato juice
- 5 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp honey
- 200 ml ketchup
- 100 ml sauce (barbecue sauce)
- Sea salt
- Sugar
- lemon juice
- Cayenne pepper
- some curry powder, for sprinkling
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
for currywurst or other dishes
Lightly roast the curry powder in olive oil. Deglaze with the tomato juice and simmer gently over low heat for 10 minutes. Add the maple syrup, honey, ketchup, and barbecue sauce, bring back to a boil, and season generously with salt, sugar, cayenne pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
