Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 150 g flour
  • 100 g cornstarch
  • 40 g dark chocolate, finely grated
  • 1 tbsp cocoa
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 75 g hazelnuts, ground
  • Fat and flour for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Grease and flour a loaf pan. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Cream together butter, salt, sugar, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar until fluffy. Stir in eggs. Finely sift flour and cornstarch and fold in. Divide the dough in half. Add the grated chocolate, cocoa powder, vanilla sugar, and milk to one half and stir well. Add the hazelnuts to the other half. Now layer: Pour half of the chocolate dough into the loaf pan, then half of the hazelnut dough, then more chocolate dough and hazelnut dough. Bake in a hot oven for 60 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar or glaze, if desired.
