Flambéed bananas

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 bananas
  • 250 g sweet cream
  • 6 tbsp liquor (Pernod)
  • 4 scoops of ice cream (vanilla ice cream)
  • 100 g almonds, sliced

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the bananas, then halve and cut lengthwise to create four equal pieces. Fry them in butter in a pan over low heat until a light brown crust forms. Be careful not to mash the bananas. Pour 2 tablespoons of Ricard or Pernod over each banana and then light it with a match, swirling the pan constantly to evaporate the alcohol. When the flames have died down, pour the cup of sweet cream over the bananas. Decorate the bananas on a plate with the vanilla ice cream and the almonds. If you like, you can briefly toast the almonds in another pan beforehand.
