Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g flank steak
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • ½ tsp fenugreek, ground
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper, ground
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • 1 pinch(s) of allspice powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 12 hours 20 minutes

Rub the flank steak with the fish sauce on both sides. Mix all the other spices and rub the sauce well into the steak. Place it in a freezer bag and refrigerate for 12 hours (or overnight). Preheat the grill to high. Grill the steak straight from the refrigerator for about 30 seconds on each side. Finish cooking in the oven (80°C top/bottom heat) for about 12 minutes until medium/rare. You can also use a grill pan. The times are the same.
