Fluffy Cinnamon and Sugar Cake

The perfect fluffy cinnamon and sugar cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Covering:

  • 500 g Spelt
  • 250 ml Milk warm
  • 80 ml Rapeseed oil
  • 80 g Sugar
  • Ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cube Yeast fresh
  • 50 g Butter
  • 80 g Sugar brown
  • Ground cinnamon
  1. Put the flour in a bowl and make a well. Add the milk, oil, sugar and salt and then crumble the yeast. Mix the milk carefully until everything has risen! Then put some flour on it from the outside. Let rise covered for about 30 minutes!
  2. Now add the egg and everything is good. Dough is relatively runny for a yeast dough! Let it go for another 20 minutes!

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees!

  1. Now spread the dough onto baking paper with wet hands. (as big as the baking sheet) Press holes in with your fingers as you would with a flatbread and spread flakes of butter on top. Let rise for another 10 minutes and sprinkle with sugar & cinnamon!
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-25 minutes. Depending on the stove! Then let it cool down!
