Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes
makes about 70 cookies
Knead the flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, eggs, and Sanella cheese into a shortcrust pastry. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out cookies using a round, jagged shape (approx. 5 cm in diameter). Place these on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with canned milk. Halve the red cherries and cut the green ones into thin strips. Now top the cookies as follows: first place half an almond on the bottom of the cookies, then place a strip of green cherries diagonally to the bottom left and right of the almond, then place the halved red cherries on top directly over the tip of the almond. Preheat the oven to 200°C and bake the cookies for approx. 15-20 minutes. They should not overcook. Let the cookies cool. In the meantime, mix the powdered sugar with the water until smooth, transfer the mixture to a freezer bag, seal it tightly, and cut off a tiny corner diagonally. Now dot the red cherries and let the cookies dry.
