  • 500 g flour
  • 1 cube of yeast, fresh
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 2 eggs

A MUST for cinnamon fans

Mix the flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk, then add it to the flour along with the eggs and oil. Knead into a smooth dough and let it rise. Roll out the dough to approximately 40 x 60 cm and brush with softened butter. Sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Roll the dough lengthwise. Use a knife to cut the roll into trapezoidal pieces (narrow side approximately 1.5 cm, wide side approximately 4 cm). Stand the pieces upright on their wide sides and use the handle of a wooden spoon to deeply press the narrow side in. Brush the pieces with egg yolk and bake at 175 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat) for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown.
