French mushroom sauce

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 50 g butter
  • 350 g mushrooms, cleaned, quartered
  • 25 g flour
  • 300 ml milk
  • 65 ml sweet cream
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • Salt and pepper, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

goes well with schnitzel

Melt the butter in a saucepan and sauté the mushrooms (canned mushrooms are also available) until almost soft. Add the flour and sauté briefly. While stirring, add the milk and cream. Bring to a boil. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
