French Style Green Peas …
The perfect french style green peas … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 20 g Branded butter
- 2 Discs Cooked ham
- 1 Spring onion
- 200 g Frozen peas
- 1 Brains Romaine lettuce
- 2 Pinches Salt
- 2 Pinches Sugar
- Preparation: Place the ham halved on top of each other, halve again and cut across into thin strips. Halve the onion lengthways and also cut into strips. Halve the lettuce lengthways and cut into strips about 2 cm wide. The peas should be thawed – I just pour some lukewarm water over them and then put them in a colander to drain.
- Preparation 2: Briefly sweat the ham and spring onion in the melted butter, add the drained peas and lettuce, season with salt and sugar, put a lid on and cook the fine vegetables for 4 to 5 minutes over a mild heat and then serve.
- I served juicy meatballs made from Thuringian Mett with it – with a baguette and a glass of red wine, of course.
