Fresh Strawberries on Puff Pastry with Cream

The perfect fresh strawberries on puff pastry with cream recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • Fresh puff pastry
  • 1 Egg yolk

for the filling

  • 1 a cup Cream
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • Strawberries
  • Icing sugar for dusting
  1. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into pieces of equal size.
  2. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. In order to be able to remove the lid later, cut a rectangle into the dough sheets with a knife, leaving a 1cm edge.
  4. Pierce the edges several times with a fork and brush with the egg yolk.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the dough sheets for 8 minutes and let them cool down.
  6. Beat the cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff.
  7. Wash the strawberries and cut them in half.
  8. Remove the lid from the puff pastry, brush the pieces with cream and top with strawberries.
  9. Put the lid back on and dust with powdered sugar.
