Fresh Strawberries on Puff Pastry with Cream

Ingredients
 

  • Fresh puff pastry
  • 1 Egg yolk

for the filling

  • 1 cup Cream
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • Strawberries
  • Icing sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Roll out the puff pastry and cut into pieces of equal size.
  • Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • In order to be able to remove the lid later, cut a rectangle into the dough sheets with a knife, leaving a 1cm edge.
  • Pierce the edges several times with a fork and brush with the egg yolk.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the dough sheets for 8 minutes and let them cool down.
  • Beat the cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff.
  • Wash the strawberries and cut them in half.
  • Remove the lid from the puff pastry, brush the pieces with cream and top with strawberries.
  • Put the lid back on and dust with powdered sugar.
