Fried Greek Potato

The perfect fried greek potato recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Jacket potatoes from the previous day
  • 8 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 Pc. Onions
  • 1 Pc. Clove of garlic
  • 2 Branches Rosemary
  • 1 glass Olives
  • Salt pepper
  • 1 tbsp Capers
  • 200 g Feta
  • Spice suggestion: Fried potato spices, Heureka from Herbaria and a Greek spice mix
  1. Peel the potatoes and either quarter or thinly slice. Cut the peeled onions into thin half rings, finely chop the garlic. Strip off the rosemary and chop finely.
  2. Heat some oil in a large non-stick pan and fry the potatoes in portions on all sides. Remove and set aside. Then sauté the onion rings in the remaining frying fat for a few minutes. Add the garlic and rosemary.
  3. Add the potatoes back in. Dice the feta and add with the drained capers and olives. Mix everything well and season with salt, pepper and the suggested spices.
