Spread the love

  • ¼ onion(s)
  • possibly thyme

Use the remaining roasting juices and bratwurst

When you make bratwurst, delicious juices remain in the pan. You can fry the beans in it and add any leftover sausage at the end. Short version: Add the beans, onion, and garlic to a pan that isn’t too hot. Deglaze later and put the lid on. Long version: Wash the beans, cut them into bite-sized pieces. Cut the onion quarters into thin slices (or dice them, it doesn’t matter), and halve the garlic lengthwise. Heat the pan with the juices moderately (level 4 of 9), add the beans, onion, and garlic. Fry gently, then add a little water to loosen the juices. Add a little salt. Note: Fresh thyme tastes particularly good (if you have any at home). When the beans are almost cooked, add the rest of the sausage, if there is any leftover. Put the lid on the pan. Now the beans are coated in the loosened juices. Add a little pepper. Always make sure there is a little brown liquid in the pan. Note: The sausage in the photo is a salsiccia.
