Fried meatloaf with onions, broccoli and mashed potatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 slices of meatloaf
  • 2 tbsp gravy paste
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 onions
  • 5 large potatoes
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 500 g broccoli, frozen
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel and quarter the potatoes and boil in salted water until tender. Prepare the broccoli according to the package instructions. Cut the onions into large cubes or rings and sauté in a little oil in a pan. Add the meat juices and tomato paste and fry briefly, then deglaze with a glass of water and let the sauce simmer. Push the onions to one side in the pan and fry the meatloaf next to it until golden brown. When the potatoes are tender, drain and press through a potato ricer. Pour in the warm milk, add the butter and whisk until puree. Serve the mashed potatoes with the broccoli and meatloaf on the plates and scatter the onions on top of the meatloaf.
