Fried Onion Butter
The perfect fried onion butter recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 125 g Butter, room temperature
- 2 tbsp Yogurt
- 2 tbsp Apple juice
- 3 tbsp Chopped onion
- 3 tbsp Roasted onions
- 1 tbsp Lard or crackling lard
- 1 tbsp Sliced spring onion
- 1 tsp Sweet paprika
- 1 Msp Sea salt
- 1 pinch Pepper, colored
- 2 tbsp Cream cheese, grained
- 1 tsp Marjoram
Prepare:
- The butter should be at room temperature and stir frothy beforehand. Chop the onions, herbs and spices, yogurt and apple juice in a food processor.
- Mix the butter with it and wrap it in foil or put it in a sealable mug and keep it well chilled. Pieces can also be formed with cookie cutters by rolling out the butter or forming small balls with your hands.
Use:
- The onion butter / herb butter for grilled meat, potatoes and vegetable preparations as an addition.
