Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 2 kg potatoes (ready-made fried potatoes, refrigerated)
- 4 large pork schnitzels
- e.g. salt and pepper
- 500 g cheese, grated
- 1 cup crème fraîche with herbs
- 1 cup of cream, sweet
- 1 bunch of chives or parsley
- Egg(s)
- Breadcrumbs
- Fat for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Prepare the fried potatoes according to the package instructions – or use homemade fried potatoes. Season the schnitzel as usual, coat in egg and breadcrumbs, and fry. Then cut into smaller pieces. Grease a baking dish, add half of the fried potatoes, arrange the schnitzel pieces on top, and cover with the rest of the fried potatoes. Mix the crème fraîche with the cream, chives, and grated cheese, and pour over the potatoes. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 40 minutes.
