  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 100 ml water
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 300 g ham, cooked
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 50 g butter
  • 100 g Gouda, grated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Whisk the eggs, season with salt, and gradually stir in the flour. Add just enough water to make a very thick spaetzle dough. Pour the dough through a spaetzle sieve into boiling salted water, bring back to a boil, remove from the water, and immediately refresh with cold water. Melt the butter in a pan, fry the finely chopped onion until golden brown, then add the diced ham and fry briefly. Add the spaetzle to the pan and fry thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with the grated cheese and let it melt.
