Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 small onion(s) or 1/2 large onion
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- 1 m.-sized tomato(s)
- 5 large potatoes, boiled
- 1 tsp Sambal Oelek, more or less if desired
- some fat for frying
- possibly ham or bacon or wiener
- vegetable broth of your choice
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
with tomato and sambal oelek
Peel and dice the onion. Peel the garlic, then slice the potatoes not too thinly. Dice the tomato and any other ingredients you wish. Pour the fat into a pan and heat until hot, then sauté the onions, add the potatoes, and press in the garlic (or add it finely chopped). Now you can add sambal oelek, if desired. I always use 1-2 teaspoons, and it’s not terribly hot; you just have to adjust the amount to your taste. Then add the tomato, or any other ingredients you’d like. If you’re using bacon, fry it with the onions right at the beginning. Season with salt and pepper at the very end. This serving is for two people with a small appetite or one person with a very large appetite. The amount of potatoes varies depending on size and appetite.
