Ingredients

  • 600 g Jacket potatoes from the previous day
  • 20 g Butter
  • 1,5 Roughly diced onions
  • 125 g Boiled ham blocks
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • Salt
  • 1 bunch Chopped parsley
  • 1 Can Fried herring preserve drained
  • 1 Can Onion cubes
  • 1 Tomato as a garnish

Instructions

  • Peel the potatoes and cut them into small slices.
  • Heat the butter in a pan and add the potatoes. Fry until the bottom of the potatoes start to get color. Scatter the onion cubes and the ham blocks on top and only now turn the contents of the pan once.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper and continue to fry, turning occasionally, until everything has the desired brown color. We don't like the heavily roasted dishes, because it is well known how harmful it is, we prefer fried potatoes to be very mildly browned. But that's up to you.
  • While the potatoes are frying, arrange the fried herring on plates and garnish if necessary. Sprinkle the finished fried potatoes with chopped parsley and serve with the fried herring.
  • Go with a freshly made green salad.
