Ingredients

  • 5 Cup Flour
  • 1 packet Dry yeast
  • Lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Fat for deep-frying
  • 2 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Honey
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

  • First mix the flour and salt. Then add the yeast. Now slowly add lukewarm water until the mixture is not too firm. Now let the dough rise so that double the amount of dough is created.
  • Then let the oil heat up in a large pan so that the yeast balls can be fried. The balls can easily be shaped with two tablespoons and smeared into the fat. When they are golden brown, they must be removed from the fat and ideally allowed to cool on a wire rack. This also allows fat to drip off.
  • The syrup can be prepared at the same time. Bring the sugar, honey, cinnamon and water to the boil, done. To serve, drizzle the yeast balls sufficiently with the syrup.
