Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g margarine or butter, soft
- 4 eggs
- 40 g honey
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 50 g sugar
- 400 g flour
- 125 ml milk
- 125 ml mineral water
- 10 g baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pack of cake glaze
- 1 jar morello cherries
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 30 g sugar
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 pack of cream stiffener
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
In a bowl, beat the soft margarine or butter with the sugar, vanilla sugar, honey, and eggs using a hand mixer until fluffy. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir in alternately with the milk and mineral water until a thick batter forms. Let it rise for about 20 minutes. Preheat the waffle iron to medium heat and grease both baking surfaces with oil or butter. Spread a sufficient amount of batter on the lower baking surface, close the waffle iron, and bake the waffle until nicely browned. Meanwhile, mix the vanilla sugar with the cake glaze and stir into the morello cherries in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and then set aside. Beat the cream with the vanilla sugar and cream stabilizer using a hand mixer until stiff peaks form and place in the refrigerator. Serve the finished waffles with the warm cherries and cream.
