Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 200 g buckwheat flour
  • 150 g semolina
  • 50 ml milk
  • 50 ml water
  • 150 g bacon, diced
  • 2 onions
  • 200 g sour cream
  • nutmeg
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Gnocchi style from Russia

Mix all dough ingredients thoroughly in the order shown above. Form the dough into 1 cm thick rolls and cut them into 1.5 cm thick slices. Boil milk and water, then simmer the galushki until they rise to the surface. Slice the onion into rings and fry with the bacon. Add sour cream and pour over the galushki. Serve warm.
