Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 600 g potatoes, floury
  • 2 garlic cloves, more if desired
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 150 ml milk
  • Parsley, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

A slightly different mashed potato

Peel the potatoes, roughly dice them, and cook them covered in boiling salted water. Thinly slice 1 garlic clove, fry in butter until golden brown, and set aside. Finely chop 1 garlic clove, fry in butter, and deglaze with milk. Bring to a boil and season with salt and pepper. Drain the potatoes, let them steam thoroughly on the turned-off stovetop, and mash them finely. Stir in the hot garlic milk and season the mash to taste. Garnish with garlic slices and chopped parsley.
