Ingredients for 6 servings:
- ¾ cup syrup (baking syrup)
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 ¾ cups flour
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 3 tsp baking powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
in German: ginger bread or gingerbread
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cream the sugar, butter, and eggs until creamy. Add the baking syrup and milk and mix well. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour the batter into a baking pan (approx. 30 x 25 cm) and bake on the middle rack for about 30 minutes. Let cool and enjoy with whipped cream.
