Gnocchi – Minced Meat – Gratin

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat
  • 1 ¼ kg gnocchi
  • Water (salt water)
  • 400 g sour cream
  • 50 ml milk
  • 50 g tomato paste
  • 1 large can of tomatoes, peeled
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 250 g cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bring a pot of water to a boil, add a little salt, and cook the gnocchi in the salted water until they float to the surface (this takes about 3-4 minutes). Brown the minced meat in a pan, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add the tomato paste and garlic, and mix well. Crush the peeled tomatoes and add to the minced meat. Add the milk and sour cream, and mix well. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for a good 10 minutes. Place the gnocchi in a baking dish and mix well with the meat sauce. Sprinkle with the cheese and bake at 200°C fan-assisted oven for 10 minutes until golden brown.
