Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 points potato gnocchi
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 packs of tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • pepper
  • Basil leaves, fresh, chopped (amount according to taste)
  • 2 balls of mozzarella, sliced
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Sauté the onions and garlic cloves in olive oil in a pot with the lid closed. Once the onions are translucent, add the passata, salt, sugar, pepper, and basil. You can also add other spices to taste, such as herbs de Provence, oregano, paprika, or, for spicier food, a small teaspoon of sambal oelek. Simmer the sauce on low heat with the lid open for about 30-45 minutes. In the meantime, fry the gnocchi in a pan with a little olive oil. Transfer everything to a baking dish and top with the mozzarella. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese has melted slightly.
