Golden wine jelly

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 liter dry white wine
  • 1 kg gelling sugar
  • 4 cl liqueur (Danzig Goldwasser)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 1 day 21 minutes

a lovely Christmas gift with Danziger Goldwasser

Mix the white wine with the gelling sugar and bring to a boil. Continue boiling until the gelling test is successful (i.e., when a drop of jelly no longer runs on a cold plate). Pour the finished jelly into prepared jars and add a dash of Danziger Goldwasser to each glass. Seal the jars and turn them upside down. Allow to cool. The jelly yields a total of 1200 ml (e.g., four 300 g jars). Tip: Alternatively, you can replace the Danziger Goldwasser with orange liqueur, but then, of course, you’ll miss out on the pretty gold flakes. The gelling sugar can also be replaced with 500 g of gelling sugar 2:1.
