Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g gooseberries
  • 500 g sweet cherries (approx. 450 g pulp)
  • 1 kg gelling sugar (1:1)

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 54 minutes

Wash the fruit and drain well. Puree the gooseberries. If you prefer a seedless jam, pass the puree through a sieve. Stem, pit, and finely chop the cherries. Mix the cherries with the gooseberry puree and the gelling sugar and let it steep for at least 3 hours. Bring everything to a boil over high heat, stirring continuously. Boil for 4 minutes, stirring continuously. Quickly fill twist-off jars to the brim with the mixture and seal immediately. Shelf life: 12 months
